Knowledge Brokers as Essential Link between Science and Policy

Itzhak Yanovitzky (Communication)

The seminar will explore the flow and exchange of knowledge between science and policy, highlighting the role of knowledge brokers or intermediaries. It is based on an active research program that is funded by the William T. Grant Foundation, and which explores the knowledge brokering role of the news media in the context of the societal response to the childhood obesity epidemic. Knowledge brokering is an example of the 21st Century type of jobs that students may pursue upon graduating from college.
