Inside the Art Museum: A Curator's Perspective

Donna Gustafson (Zimmerli Art Museum)

The Zimmerli Art Museum is organizing an exhibition of photographs by New Jersey based photographer, Donald Lokuta, of the renowned American sculptor, George Segal (1924-2000).  Lokuta's photographs of the artist are a long-running portrait of Segal and show the artist at work in his studio, at home relaxing, and in search of inspiration. Students in the seminar will help to select the photographs to be included in the exhibition, interview the photographer, research George Segal's sculpture, write labels, and learn about the two artists whose relationship lies at the heart of the exhibition: George Segal and Donald Lokuta.
